Dr. N. Gautam

Dr. Gautam received his Ph. D. from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, India and was a post doctoral fellow at California Institute of Technology. He is currently a Professor of Anesthesiology and Genetics at Washington University Medical School. He has been an Established Investigator of the American Heart Association, a member of a National Institutes of Health Study Section and served on an American Heart Association peer review committee. He is currently on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Biological Chemistry. His research focuses on using imaging methods to study biological signaling in living cells especially that mediated by GPCRs.

Dr. Shrikumar Suryanarayan

Dr. Suryanarayan has been the president of research and development at Biocon India Ltd. since 1984. He received his B.Tech in chemical engineering from IIT Madras in 1982 and M.Tech in biochemical engineering from IIT Delhi in 1984. His main areas of research interest are fermentation, downstream process development and bioreactor design.

Dr. Vijay Chaudhary

Dr. V. K. Chaudhary is currently Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Delhi South Campus, New Delhi, India. An accomplished researcher and inventor. Dr. Chaudhary led the development of a simple and rapid assay to detect HIV in small volume(single drop) of blood. This test kit is being manufactured and marketed as NEVA-HIV by M/s Cadila Pharmaceuticals.After completing his Ph. D. in Biochemistry from V .P. Chest Institute in 1983, Dr. Chaudhary worked at Escorts Medical Centre, Faridabad as Clinical Biochemist and then as a Visiting Fellow/Associate at the National Institutes of Health, USA for 5 years. At NIH, he developed technology for producing recombinant fusion proteins between toxins and growth factors and single chain antibodies to make magic bullet targeted to cancer and HIV-infected cells. He joined the South Campus in 1990.To his name, he has more than 75 research papers and has 15 Indian and US patents. The awards he has been honored with include the National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA Director's Award, Biotech Product and Process Development and Commercialization Award, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and The NRDC Award. Recently, his group has developed a bacteriophage lambda based system for high-density display of peptide, proteins and antibodies. His current research activities include development of immunoproteomic based approaches (Phage display, protein assay) for simple diagnostic solutions for infectious diseases.

Dr. Sujay Prasad

In addition to serving on ReaMetrix's scientific advisory board, Dr. Sujay R. Prasad is a director at the Anand Diagnostic Laboratory and has ten years of experience in the Indian diagnostic sector. Dr. Prasad is a pathology specialist with M.D. from Lokamanya Tilak Medical College in Bombay. He is a member of the Indian Association of Pathology and Microbiology, the Indian Academy of Cytology and the International Academy of Pathology's India Division. He has long term interests in lymph node pathology, liver pathology and, in particular, how information technology can be applied to problems in these fields.
